Reflexology

The physical act of applying pressure to the hand or foot with specific techniques made by the finger, thumb and hand or a reflexology aid. Reflexology is based on a ‘map’ of reflex zones on the feet and hands that mirror the body and thus, by applying pressure to these areas, those specific areas of ailments get treatment.

Reflecting the Body Parts

The left foot/hand reflects the left side of the body and thus the right foot/hand the right side.
The Arms are just below the little toe/finger on the outsides.
The Eyes are below the second toes.
The Ears are just below the toes.
The Jaw, Teeth and Gums are over the bands of each toe where a toe ring would sit.
The Spine area runs down the foot and hand’s insides.
The Shoulder is reflected toward the outside of the hand/foot.
The head and neck (plus their insides) reflects in the toes and fingers.
The Chest and Upper Back reflects in the foot’s ball.
The Heart and Lungs reflects in the balls of your feet (as above), below the big toe.
The Waistline is reflective at the base of the long bones of the hands/feet.
The Area above/below Waistline is above/below the long bones of the hands/feet.
The Organs above/below the Waist are above/below the long bones of the hands/feet.
The Kidneys are in the centers of the feet.
The Bladder is situated just on the inside next to the foot’s ball.
The Chest and Breasts are reflected over the cushion below the toes.
The Colon is situated over a horizontal line above the foot’s ball and down on the outside again.
The Liver runs in a wide band over most of the right foot’s centre, horizontally.
The Thyroid Gland is in die middle below the big toe.
