Diagnosed angina by itself does not cause permanent damage but it is cause for worry regarding narrow arteries, which are usually involved.

Naturopathy: Fat-free diets are the ideal with plenty of raw (lightly steamed) vegetables, fruit, salads, lentils, beans, fibre, and oatmeal porridge (plus oat bran). In addition to the diet alcohol and caffeine intake should be limited and stress kept down. Exercises are a must, but take it easy and watch for discomfort. Acupuncture, osteopathy and chiropractic therapies are all suggested.

Herbal Solutions: Garlic, ginger & oats to bring down cholesterol.

Bach Remedies: Hornbeam (mental exhaustion), elm (too much responsibility), Impatiens (to relax) and White chestnut (sleeplessness).
