Detox
Removing toxins from the body improves health greatly, energises the mind and physical state, aid digestion and encourage weight loss. Preferred detox regimens include eating fruit and vegetables mainly, whole grains and legumes, seeds and nuts, herbs and fish, herbal teas and water.
At the same time you should be cutting out processed (including all breads) and GM foods and of course alcohol and caffeine.
The ideal is to make healthy eating a way of living instead of fasting or dieting.
Other forms of detoxing include:
Raw food diets
Raw foodism is a diet which promotes eating uncooked and unprocessed, organic foods such as nuts and seeds, vegetables and fruit, sprouts, fish and unpasteurized dairy.
Super Foods rich in vitamins and other detoxing components include:
Apples
Açaí berries (Açaí is the highest scoring plant food)
Artichoke
Blue berries (Blue berries are of the highest scoring plant foods)
Brassicates: cabbage, kale, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts

Food combinations
Food combinations can influence digestion and other conditions greatly. When we consume proteins our stomachs use pepsin for digestion and amylase for carbohydrates. But when amylase is released its ideal environment should be alkaline which is neutralized by pepsin. Thus proteins and carbohydrates should not be eaten together.
Calorie control
When we control our calorie intakes we also slow down the effects of aging due to lower cholesterol, improved blood pressures and sugar levels.
Fasting
The individual can abstain from all drink and food, from food only and/or perhaps from a single food group such as alcohol, caffeine or meat.
Water fasting
Individuals drink water only for the decided period and abstain from all foods and other drinks during this period.
Juice fasting
During a juice fast the individual abstains from all foods and drinks except vegetable and/or fruit juices. Use super-foods (see above) for optimum benefits.
