Children’s health through education:
In today’s world we have access to information and education via our computers and plasma TVs. Children should be encouraged to live healthy lives through watching informative documentaries on dietary or physical aspects. For younger kids, the internet has many (safe) games which introduce them to keeping a pet healthy for instance, through exercise and diet. Screen-time is a reality in our modern times and it should be a beneficial presence to our children.
Negative screen-time often includes the mindless snacking of crisps in front of violent games and/or movies. Ensure healthy snacks are readily available, such as carrot sticks with dips, raisons and nuts etc. and minimize other snack options that are not ideal. Also put a limit to screen time and movies/games/websites to suit your child’s age.
